The Companies (Amendment) Act 2019 was approved by the Lok Sabha. Made some changes to the Companies Act 2013. Changes the rules for Indian companies. The Companies Act 2013 regulates the formation and functioning of any company or corporation in India.The first post-independence company law was passed in 1956, which regulated the country’s business entities.

Companies Act 2013 PPT: Introduction and Features
The 1956 law was based on the recommendations of the Bhabha Committee. This law has been amended several times and in 2013 significant changes were introduced. Under Section 135 of the 2013 Act, India was the first country to legislate on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) spending.
